New Headline Shows Announced
Thursday 28 June 2012
Laura Wright, Britain’s most exciting new soprano, has announced her first ever UK shows in September this year! Wednesday September 12th sees her perform what is sure to be a sensational homecoming show at the Ipswich Corn Exchange and she then takes to the stage in the idyllic setting of London’s St. James Church in Piccadilly on Thursday 13th September.
With more than one million album sales under her belt, the 21-year –old Royal College of Music opera student was one of 2011’s biggest selling classical artists – becoming the first female singer since Katherine Jenkins to reach Number One in the Classical Chart with her album ‘The Last Rose’.
She has continued her meteoric rise to fame in 2012 and, in what is already turning out to be an incredible year for the young soprano, recently went straight in at Number Two in the UK Classical Chart with her second album ‘Glorious’.
Having completed a UK tour with acclaimed tenor Alfie Boe earlier this year and currently taking part in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee tour alongside Russell Watson, Laura has also proven herself as an accomplished live performer. Indeed, she has performed in front of HM The Queen and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh more times than any other artist during the Jubilee period. Add to this her numerous performances at high-profile sporting events such as The Six Nations and the FA Cup Final and it is impossible to doubt her sensational singing talent in a live setting.
Be sure to catch the incredible voice of Laura Wright in her first ever headline shows in the UK!
