This one holds the first place for the highest number of people that attended the New Year’s party on 21st December 1994. The count rose from 3.5 million to 4.2 million in Rio. Sir Rorik Stewart was a famous British singer who sold over 140 million copies of his songs over this musical journey and career. He introduced the crowd to the Roll Hall of Fame, after which the concert found its way into the GUINNESS World record for the most massive rock concert in the world, although a large number of them had run up only for the midnight fireworks on new year’ eve.

Jean- Michel Jarre concert

It took place in the State University of Moscow on 6th September 1997. The concert comprised of a total of 3.5 million attendees, during the city’s 850th anniversary. It was also the first time, this French singer had gained a huge success and attracted that many amounts of attended for a single night. His first Paris concert also attracts nearly 1 million attendees that again broke the world record.

AC/DC Metallica Concert

It took place in Moscow in 1991 with a total of 1.6 million people gathered to witness the Metallica band. However, this concert took place a few months before the dissolution of the USSR. It was also the first open-air rock concert in the country, and hence people flocked in millions. Famous bands like the Pantera, EST and many more, electrified the crowd on a single knight and took things to the stratosphere.

This again took place in Rio, recently in 2006, attracting over 1.5 million attendees. The legendary American band called rolling stone performed diligently in the Copacabana beach of Rio in the year 2006. It was a free concert, and hence half a million gathered this rare opportunity. It was a part of the band’s world tour named ‘A Bigger Bang’ to promote their recent album that comprises of the same name. This concert was also considered as the second-highest revenue of 550 million dollars.

Live 8 Philadelphia

This took place in 2005, at the Philadelphia museum of art with over 1 million attendees. This again was a free concert with famous artists and bands from around the world. The event was also covered by the majority of the TV and the radio channels around the globe. It included famous names like Toby Keith, Keith Urban, Jay Z, Maroon 5, Linkin Park etc.
